Our Chairman’s budget funds small items of equipment quickly which make a huge impact on the wellbeing of individual patients.

Voice Amplifier:  We funded a voice amplifier which cost £64 to help a patient communicate.  This saved her borrowing one from Speech and Language Therapy and meant she could take it home to communicate with family and friends.

Biozoon AIR with Flavour:  £36 funded equipment which allows Nil by Mouth patients to be able to taste a variety of flavours through “flavoured foam” minimising the risk of aspiration.  Losing the ability to eat and drink has a huge implication on quality of life because of the significant role food plays in our everyday life.
